First of sorry for my spelling and grammar.
I Have been thinking about an mx5 with no screen for a while inspired by 60ish race cars with a torny cover over the un used passenger seat and a stream lined head rest running back over the boot lid. Or possibly a fibber glass aroscrean stile insert that sits where the windscreen is now and also provides a cotpit separator with a clip in panel for the passenger set when not in use. Maybe a little like the mk2 concept car.
Doors I was also thinking of removing the doors and fitting bolt in side impact protection using the door hinge mounting and locking points and using a fibber glass door skin that is bonded in to the car i.e. the doors wont open.
Any way rambling over I came on to this sight and saw you drawings of the open top Italia speedster (http://www.retroforza.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23) and thought I would make some comments on the whol I like it but the head rest covings end to rapidly I know this is so that the boot can still open however it really spoils the look of the car how hinging the boot the rear or side then you could follow the shape through the boot lid.
I also think that by skinning the door you could get much better flow thought the car however this would raze the complexity of the build a lot.
